You also get easy access to over 250 live railcams across North America so you can see what’s happening on the tracks.
With a 7-day free trial or subscription, you also get interactive timetables, Live Activities for following up to 5 trains simultaneously on your iPhone lock screen and in the Apple Watch Smart Stack, and weather condition and temperature information at Amtrak and VIA Rail train locations.
Is this a subscription app?
There is a free tier and a subscription tier.
You can see current train locations on the map and see how the map looked at any time during the past 14 days for free. You can also see what the top 5 fastest and most delayed trains are currently and what they were at any time during the past 14 days for free. Access to over 250 live railcams is also free.
An active free trial or subscription is required to access train speed and direction of travel details, live and historical timetables, train following on your iPhone lock screen and in the Apple Watch Smart Stack, train-specific travel alerts, weather details at a train’s live location, and customizable fastest and most delayed trains lists.
We offer a 7-day free trial of all features for new customers. After the free trial, you can choose a weekly, monthly, or yearly subscription to continue to get access to all features. Subscription renewals can be canceled at least 24 hours prior to renewal by going to Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions on your iPhone.
Does the app require an internet connection?
Yes, Train Tracker Pro requires an internet connection to ensure that you receive the most up-to-date information.
Can I follow multiple trains at once?
Yes, Train Tracker Pro allows you to follow up to 5 trains simultaneously with Live Activities–making it easy to stay informed about delays at-a-glance without needing to keep checking the app.
When you want to see where the train is, simply tap on the Live Activity on your lock screen to go to that train’s location on the map.
If you have an Apple Watch running watchOS 11 or later, you will also see the trains you’re following in the Smart Stack on your paired Apple Watch. Live Activities update automatically for up to 8 hours.

Does the app support Family Sharing?
Yes, Train Tracker Pro supports Family Sharing! We want you to share the train tracking goodness with each member of your Apple Family!
When you start a subscription, each member of your Apple Family can utilize your subscription on their devices for no additional cost. Family Sharing is also applicable to our 7-day free trial.

Is there Train Tracker Pro for Android?
Not at this time.
Can I use the app on iPads and Macs?
Train Tracker Pro can be used on iPads running iPadOS 17 and later and on Apple Silicon Macs. However, it is not currently optimized for those devices.
